Inclusion of CCM in the Brazilian guidelines for implantable electronic devices - 2023
Following the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and the American Heart Association/American College of Cardiology (AHA/ACC), the Brazilian Society of Cardiology has now also recommended the use of CCM therapy as an option for the above described group of heart failure patients!
i²medi comercial médica Ltda, based in Sao Paulo and part of the i2medi group, has successfully driven the process of inclusion in the guidelines. This now allows many heart failure patients and physicians in Brazil access to the use of a therapy that was previously very limited. The Brazilian Society of Cardiologists is thus setting standards for Latin America that are on par with guidelines in the United States and Europe.
